Six Tips for First-Time WordPress Users

Today, any beginner can make a website in a few hours. In this, one is often helped by unique systems for creating and managing websites. WordPress has been one of the most popular for many years. With its help, people build online stores, blogs, magazines, news portals, and business pages. Moreover, this platform has excellent functionality and provides the tools necessary for a project of any complexity. Today you will learn about six tips for first-time WordPress users.
1.) Plan Before You Do

You’ve finally decided to make your first WordPress web page. Indeed you are burning with impatience. You want to implement all your brilliant ideas for this website. So, you go into the editor and start trying all the functions in a row.

Of course, your desire is logical since it seems that the more functions there are, the cooler it will be. However, unfortunately, the visitors of your future website will not agree with you. Most likely, they came with a specific purpose, and the presence of a large number of bells and whistles will only frustrate them.

Therefore, you need to analyze your clients and understand what content they want to see on the home page. Also, think about a plan for your visitors. Can they easily find additional information in the first few seconds? All this planning will make your project better and reduce your time to tweak unnecessary options.

2.) Build for SEO
When you’re designing in WordPress, you should be thinking about search engine optimization. To make your site easier to find in the search, you must spend a lot of time. If you are a student who decided to start your own business, then you need to find this time. Also, you can contact a service that can “write a research paper for me” so that you can free up enough time for SEO development. After all, it would be best if you made sure that artificial intelligence can find and read your site. Furthermore, source code should be built in a certain way so that search engines can find it. During the build process, you have to add obvious explanations for ordinary things and describe each image on the site so that the computer understands what is on the picture. In addition, you will need to insert some keywords that are relevant to your business. However, do not forget to write where you are located, what services you provide since all of these features will help your SEO.
3.) Keep It Simple

Simplicity is the key to success. This rule often works in website creation as well. So, it would be best to remember you must not put significant volumes of text or create confusing website schemes.

First, no one wants to read a wall of text from a large number of paragraphs. You need to convert all information into a minimum of text. Plus, break all the data into pieces. Each piece should be responsible for one specific idea. If you can’t break the text into small pieces in any way, consider moving it or creating a separate section dedicated to that topic.

Second, don’t try to come up with a revolutionary site layout on your first day. Innovation is good, but only when it comes from experience. Try to make the site layout as simple as possible. You must be sure that even your grandmother can figure it out. And remember, the simpler – the better.

4.) Minimum Plugins

Every WordPress project is unique, thanks to plugins. Plugins are additional settings that are downloaded and installed separately. They allow you to bring any visual or functional idea to life.

Moreover, plugins are a handy feature that is necessary for WordPress to work correctly. However, unfortunately, they have one flaw. Each plugin increases the page load time and thus slows down the website. For this reason, you are advised to enable a minimal number of plugins at the start.

Plus, plugins that you are not using should be disabled and uninstalled. It will improve your project’s performance since fewer plugins are less likely to conflict with each other, and you will get fewer bugs in your code.
